Hello! I’m Dana, a proud UMKC graduate with a Master of Arts in Counseling. With 27 years of experience working with children of all ages—16 of those years dedicated to high school counseling—I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing today's families.

As a former elementary school teacher and high school counselor, I've had the privilege of guiding teens through tough times, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. I’m passionate about helping young people develop healthy coping skills through innovative strategies like child centered play therapy, sandtray play therapy and mindfulness techniques.

I firmly believe that the heart of meaningful change is the strong connection between therapist and client. By employing methods such as Client Centered Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Counseling, Play Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), I’m confident we can create positive shifts in thoughts and behaviors.

If you're a parent facing challenges or have a child or adolescent navigating a difficult period, please remember—you're not alone. I invite you to reach out via phone or email, and together, we can work towards helping you and your loved ones live your BEST LIFE!
